Catching Up

This working a full time job again has led me to some serious blog neglect. Just a quick post to update y'all on some pics of the little loves in our life.

Making this Home

Our trip back home for Christmas was so emotional in many ways. We were so anxious to see our new grandson and our two grandaughters and the rest of our family. In all honesty I was unsure whether I would want to come back here at all and I don't think our family still understands that this is where we need to be right now. We have dealt with many questions of how we could just move away from everyone......It has been a hard journey and although I bawled my eyes out when I left I truly feel at home here in Arizona. The sun shines every day and I love my job. Layla was so excited to get back HOME that she danced around and hugged me saying Home, Home, Home for the first hour we were back. I grew up in a family that was close and never ventured away from the town we were born in and it is so hard to feel like I am abandoning everyone. What I do know for sure is that our choices are limited right now and this is where we will be for the rest of this school year. I do not miss the snow, wind and cold one little bit, but I miss my family daily. Hopefully we will have many visitors and once they see the beauty they will understand why we love it here.

Happy New Year!!

Silly baby in the bath...She would take 3 baths a day if we let her.
Below are my little pilgrims at their Thanksgiving play at school. They are both loving school here and have alot of friends already. The other 2 are of miss Layla posing for me.

Heading Home for Christmas!

Four days until we go back to Minnesota for Christmas!! I am so excited because I have a NEW GRANDSON!! My son Tyler and Samantha are the proud parents of a Big....little boy born on Dec. 10th. AVYNN TOWNES was 9 lbs 3oz and is a handsome little guy from what I have seen. It has been killing me this week to be here while they are there... I can't wait to hold him and kiss his sweet little face. I am hoping that the weather clears up before then as there was a wild blizzard this weekend. I have a hard time remembering what that was like when we see sunshine every day here. I do miss seeing the snow at Christmas but can certainly do without it otherwise. We had a very quiet Thanksgiving and I have been so busy with work that I have not had much opportunity to take pics for a while.
